A glorious sunny morning greeted runners for the Marlow Half and 7 mile races.
The introduction of the 7 mile race 2 years ago and a slight change to the Half course have been well received. Entries were well over 1700 which is a record entry.
Both races now start at the bottom of the Marlow High Street and head north out of town into the countryside. They take in some very challenging hills around Marlow Common for the 7m and also up from Hambleden in the Half.
Runners though of all abilities love the scenic, challenging nature of the course and is great to see the event doing so well.
Head of Business at Great Marlow School and Wycombe Phoenix athlete, Sean Wilson was first man home in the Half.
It was great to see former local girl and member of staff at Runners’ Retreat, Melanie Wilkins taking the ladies race.
Two more local athletes, Carrie Hoskins and Mark Booth came out on top in the 7mile. A big well done to the organising club, Marlow Striders for putting on one of the best organised and enjoyable races in the area.
